Loman named Observer's Media One to Watch

Eurogamer MD tops list that includes Paulina Bozek and Rik Alexander

Rupert Loman, MD of the Eurogamer Network, has been named as the Media One to Watch in the Courvoisier Future 500, a list compiled from 500 individuals across 10 categories that are expected to play a key role in their respective sectors.

The list, printed in the Observer newspaper at the weekend, also included Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's Paulina Bozek, as well as Rik Alexander and Alan O'Dea from Monumental Games and Nina Cliff from Codeworks Game Horizon.

The judge of the media category, IGA Worldwide's Ed Bartlett, commented: "The quality of entrants to the media category has been astonishing, which bodes extremely well for the future media landscape in the UK.

"Rupert was the standout nominee, in more than one area; from showing the initial foresight to become involved with a rapid growth sector, to demonstrating fantastic entrepreneurial skills and mature business acumen from a young age.

"Rupert has managed to build a successful business, despite strong challenges from more established 'traditional' incumbents."

Everybody listed in the 500 the will now be entered into a special Future 500 Network, in which they'll have exclusive access to an online networking facility.
