Konami and Reebok team for Pro Evo partnership

Cross promotions planned for release of football favourite

Konami has teamed up with sportswear giant Reebok to cross-promote brands ahead of the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 in Europe later this month.

As well as the Reebok brand appearing in-game, the two companies will work together on a range of marketing and promotional campaigns.

"Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is an outstanding football simulation and Reebok is delighted to be involved with a game that is so highly regarded in both the gaming community and the youth marketplace as a whole," said Roy Gardner, Reebok's Euro marketing director.

Konami's Euro marketing and PR boss, Martin Schneider, added: "Reebok's efforts at working closely with target age groups akin to those of Pro Evolution Soccer 6 makes them a perfect partner for Konami."

"We are delighted to be working closely with them to extend awareness of both brands in a partnership that perfectly fits with both companies," he added.

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is due for release across Europe on PS2, Xbox 360 and PC, October 26th.
