Koei's chief executive resigns
A spokesperson for Japanese developer and publisher Koei has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that chief executive officer Kiyoshi Komatsu has left his post.
A spokesperson for Japanese developer and publisher Koei has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that chief executive officer Kiyoshi Komatsu has resigned.
According to the spokesperson, Komatsu took the decision to leave the company "for personal reasons".
Koei has appointed Kenji Matsubara as the replacement for Komatsu. Matsubara joined Koei in 2001 and was previously head of the company's software division #4, which specialised in producing online and mobile phone content.
Established in 1978, Koei is best known in the west for producing the Dynasty Warriors games - more than 9 million units have been sold since the series made its PlayStation debut in 1997. The company has subsidiaries in China, Taiwan, Korea, North America and the UK.
