Koei set to bring Disgaea to Europe

Publisher Koei has announced that it is to release the PS2 strategic RPG Disgaea: The Hour of Darkness in Europe this May, knocking another title off the sadly lengthy list of critically acclaimed games which have launched in the USA but never appeared on these shores.

Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, Disgaea uses gameplay mechanics comparable to GBA title Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and has won a strong fanbase in both Japan and the USA due to its complex and involving game mechanics, striking artwork and healthy sense of humour.

Nippon Ichi's follow-up to Disgaea, Phantom Brave, was recently released in Japan and has been riding high in the software charts there over the past few weeks.
