Jump Games signs Man Utd deal

Mumbai-based Jump Games has signed an exclusive deal with Barclays Premiership football club Manchester United to develop and publish associated mobile games globally.

The deal, thought to be the biggest in the history of the Indian games business, will span three years and kicks off this year with six titles before the end of 2008, the first of which will be entitled Manchester United Word It!

The club's director of media said of the deal: "We believe that this relationship will allow us to offer market leading mobile games to our global fan base and will enhance Manchester United's portfolio of mobile products and services."

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson added: "Manchester United, all of us, are delighted in our new arrangement with Jump Games. I think it's a fantastic venture. And to all our fans all over the world it's an opportunity to get yourselves involved in it."

All of the titles planned will be available globally, through local operators.
