Indiagames signs PopCap deal

Indiagames has announced that it has agreed a deal to distribute PopCap titles to mobile phones in India, adding to the existing arrangement between the two companies covering IndiaGames' online service Games on Demand.

The first titles to be made available for download on mobile across the country will be Bookworm and Chuzzle, although there's no indication of whether or not this portfolio is set to expand.

James Gwertzman, PopCap's VP for the Asia/Pacific region, commented: "We decided to enter India with a strong partner who could quickly help us build our mobile brand, and we found that partner in Indiagames."
