London - May 11 2005 - IN-FUSIO, the international mobile game publisher, today invites UK gamers to indulge themselves in underwear-based hilarity with the launch of the brain-teasing puzzle game It's Mr. PantsTM, based on the blockbusting title for the Game Boy Advance platform from Microsoft Corporation subsidiary Rare. It's Mr. PantsTM is available to download on mobile immediately from Orange UK's portal to a wide range of handsets.
Mr. Pants is an eccentric scribble figure, wearing nothing but a bowler hat and a pair of red underpants, who loves to set puzzles. The game builds on the proven "rotating blocks" puzzle genre, popularised by Tetris. The concept is simple. Players manoeuvre blocks, dropped by Mr. Pants, in order to form squares or rectangles and therefore eliminate them from the board. Coloured blocks can be placed on blank grid spaces, on different coloured blocks, or even both, but not on blocks of the same colour.
It's Mr. Pants, which offers hours of brain-straining fun, has three game modes: Puzzle, Wipeout and Marathon. In Puzzle mode, players have to solve Mr. Pants' increasingly difficult puzzles by clearing the board using only a limited number of pieces. In Wipe Out mode, players have to clear the crowded board within two minutes using the pieces that Mr. Pants gives them. If they clear the board on time players will be given a medal and enter the rankings board. Marathon mode lets players score as many points in five minutes as possible. However, Marathon mode has an added twist, as there's a crayon snake that scribbles its way around the board in a pattern that continually shrinks the playing area.
