Ignition announces SNK/Playmore co-publishing deal

Ignition Entertainment has announced a co-publishing agreement with SNK/Playmore for North America.

Ignition Entertainment and SNK have already been working together in Europe in recent years and have joined forces once again.

"We are very happy to be working further with Ignition Entertainment, as we currently have a very positive, trusting and prosperous relationship," said Soichiro Hosoya, member of the board of SNK/Playmore.

"I have no doubt in my mind that our new cooperative venture will be very worthwhile and rewarding for everyone involved."

"This is a fantastic opportunity," said Ajay Chadha, Ignition Entertainment's president.

"We are extremely excited to be able to bring SNK products to the North American market. Our rapid growth shows our commitment for what we do, and this partnership brings in a new era for our company. We welcome this great union between SNK and Ignition."

The first title to be jointly published under the new partnership will be Metal Slug 7 for Nintendo DS - the first installment of the series to be developed exclusively for the handheld.
