Guillemot confirmed as keynote speaker for Edinburgh 2007

Fight Club director, Gollum actor also join line-up

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for this year's Edinburgh Interactive Festival, which will take place between August 12 -14.

News of Guillemot's keynote first emerged last month and it's now been confirmed on the official EIF website.

Other high profile names set to appear at the event include actors Stephen Berkoff and Andy Serkis, plus Fight Club director David Fincher and Stuart Beattie - screenwriter for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

According to the site, EIF will focus on the "cultural and business impact that games are having on the public, entertainment companies and on more traditional media such as film and television".

The first day of the conference will take place at the Royal College of Physicians in Queen Street, and will open with Guillemot's keynote. On day two the event will move to the Odeon in Lothian Road.
