Glu appoints EMEA sales director

Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile has announced the appointment of Olivier Bernard to the position of sales director, EMEA.

Bernard joined Glu in 2006 as territory manager for France, Belgium and the Netherlands, achieving the company's strongest revenues to date in the region.

"Glu's success as a global publisher is the result of our ability to leverage capabilities worldwide while maintaining deep focus within each country and region within which we operate," said Frank Keeling, managing director of publishing, EMEA, Glu Mobile.

"Olivier has been an exemplary leader within the organization and has demonstrated his ability to establish and build upon a local presence to become a leader on a regional level."

As sales director, Bernard's primary role will be to manage and develop Glu sales in each territory within EMEA. Prior to joining Glu, Bernard served as global game operations manager at Vodafone and positions with Babelmedia and Atari.

Glu Mobile, founded in 2001, is based in San Mateo, California with offices in London, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, China, Sao Paulo and Chile.
