Organisers of the annual Game Developers Conference Austin event have announced that six new games industry members have joined its advisory board.

The six new members include ICO Partners' Thomas Bidaux, Nexon's Min Kim, Sony Online Entertainment's John Blakely, Mythic Entertainment's Eugene Evans, Hangout Industries' Mike Goslin, and Schell Games' Sheri Graner Ray.

"The online gaming space continues to change and expand. GDC Austin addresses the latest trends and challenges in connected gaming," said GDC Austin event director Izora de Lillard.

"With an updated advisory board, attendees can expect the same quality of technical sessions presented in previous years but also specialized focus in areas like globalization and localization, micro transactions, security, and social networking success in games."

Game Developers Conference Austin, which specializes in social and online game development, will take place September 15-18 in Austin, Texas.
