GarageGames is to unveil its recently announced web browser-based 3D games service, InstantAction.com, at the Independent Games Conference next month.

The developer will also use the event to seek out new talent for the emerging games service, which allows users to play 3D games through a web browser without any extra downloads.

"In addition to being a destination, InstantAction.com is about fostering a strong web game development community," commented Josh Williams, CEO of GarageGames.

"This conference is a great backdrop to finding new games for InstantAction and funding them," he said.

GarageGames developed Xbox Live Arcade hit Marble Blast Ultra, as well as the Torque Engine technology used by Vivendi Games and NCsoft.

The Independent Games Conference will also host a keynote this year from Wideload Games' Alex Seropian, who will discuss the company's new casual games venture, Wideload Shorts.

The conference takes place October 10 — 11 in Eugene, Oregon.
