GamesIndustry.biz appoints new editor

GamesIndustry.biz has appointed Phil Elliott as new editor, taking over the role previously occupied by Ellie Gibson.

Elliott joins GamesIndustry.biz following a year as editor of GameSpot UK. He previously worked at BBC Radio Five Live.

"This appointment comes at the perfect time. We're looking forward to having Phil on board," commented Rupert Loman, managing director of Eurogamer Network.

"We've got fantastic plans for GamesIndustry.biz to consolidate its marketing-leading position and we believe the team we have in place means we are in great shape for future growth."

Elliott's new role follows the recent appointment of Mark Androvich as US editor. Ellie Gibson will now take on the role of content editor across the Eurogamer Network of websites, which includes GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer.net and Eurogamer TV.
