Mayank Mathur to develop Indian videogames service provider's presence in Eastern markets

Indian videogame service provider, Gameshastra, has appointed Mayank Mathur as business development manager for the Japan region.

The role will involve overseeing the development of the company's presence in the Eastern markets, principally promoting its iPhone, iPod Touch, PlayStation Network and WiiWare localisation services.

"With facilities in Europe and now a dedicated business development manager for Japan supporting our operations in US and the headquarters in Hyderabad, India, we're able to fully service the global games industry," said Prakash Ahuja, CEO of Gameshastra.

"Mayank is a vastly experienced gaming industry executive, with a real passion for the Japanese industry, and we're confident he'll help establish Gameshastra as one of the leading players within Japan."

Mathur previously graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK from the Entertainment Software Development course, and went on to work with Tata Elxsi's games division - VCL.
