Rock Band site nominated for "Webby"

The official Rock Band website is one of the five games-related websites to be nominated for a 12th Annual Webby award by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

Other nominees in the games-related category include Gamasutra, Gamezebo, Wired's GameLife blog and The Escapist.

The Webby Awards were established in 1996 and are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences - a 550-member body of Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities.

Last year, the 11th Annual Webby Awards received over 8,000 entries from more than 60 countries and generated over 750 million media impressions worldwide according to organisers.

The 12th Annual Webby Awards will be presented during a celebration that runs from June 8 - 10 in New York City.
