Former VP Licensing Europe from Atari moves to Playlogic
Stefan Layer joins Playlogic International as COO
Amsterdam, 11 April 2005 - As of April 1st 2005, industry veteran Stefan Layer has joined Playlogic International as COO/Vice President Sales, Marketing and Licensing. Stefan has been working in the games industry for over ten years of which the last six years he has spent at Atari. His last position there was as Vice President Licensing Europe.
After graduated with an Economics (BA) in 1995, Stefan first started working in the games business at CDV Software AG in Germany as Key Account Manager and Sales Director. Most recently he has been working for Atari Europe, where he started in 1999 as Business Development Manager.
Stefan will be responsible for Playlogic's Sales, Licensing and Marketing departments. In this role he will setup the Playlogic's licensing strategy, create strategic co-operations with distribution partners and acquire third party products.
Furthermore, Stefan will expand Playlogic's value chain by entering new markets and optimizing exploitation of properties such as purchase by download, games on demand, interactive TV and mobile games.
