Sports Interactive were celebrating this weekend after the launch of the second season of the Football Manager podcast was a new entry at No.3 in the iTunes UK "Sports & Recreation" chart. The podcast also debuted at No.19 across the whole of iTunes UK audio podcast network.

The podcast, which this season will be broadcast bi-weekly, is hosted by Sports Interactive's Studio Director Miles Jacobson, and produced by Mischief PR. The current episode features guests Paul Vale from the Daily Express and Daily Star, and James Gill from thelondonpaper. The podcast is mainly a pub conversation about the world of football, but it also includes exclusive new feature information about the forthcoming Football Manager™ 2009 on PC and Mac, as well as a competition to win a copy of the game and money-can't-buy merchandise. Listeners can also email in and ask the questions they want answered about the game.

The podcast is available now for free from iTunes ( www.itunes.co.uk). You can access the Football Manager podcast in your iTunes by selecting Podcasts in the top left of your screen and accessing the Podcast Directory where you will find the podcast in the “Sports & Recreation” section.

Football Manager™ 2009 for PC and Apple Macintosh, and Football Manager™ Handheld 2009 for Sony PSP are both set for release on November 14th.
