Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

For Immediate Release

- Renowned London-based training institute Escape Studios has established a New York office, offering its new online learning to U.S. students interested in pursuing professional computer graphics (CG) production careers, as well as to veterans who want to add to their skill set.

"This has been a long-standing ambition of ours," says Dominic Davenport, founder and CEO of Escape Studios. "We are delighted to be able to offer our CG expertise across America."

Escape has inaugurated the online learning platform with the launch of Maya Core, a bundle of six courses that take students from an introduction to Autodesk's Maya through the fundamentals of animation, modeling, texturing and lighting. Developed and taught by world-class professionals, Maya Core includes 600 video tutorials. For more information and a free trial, go to http://www.escapestudios.com/mayacore.

The New York office also will house a reselling division and a recruitment department. Heading up the reselling division is Commercial Director Ed Caracappa, the highly-regarded former Director of Business Development from BOXX. The recruitment department is to be launched by year's end and will help graduates find work in the industry with the help of Escape's team of professionals.

"Escape Studios is the one of the world's elite CG training facilities," says Caracappa. "I am thrilled to be joining them as they expand their reach to the U.S., where their unique approach will establish them as a hub of CG expertise."

Founded in 2002 and based in London, Escape Studios is the number one choice for developing a successful career in the CG industry. Escape's teaching staff includes some of the industry's most talented film, games and animation professionals; instructors hail from world-renowned facilities such as Pixar, Sony, MPC and Cinesite. Graduates, or "Escapees," have been placed in facilities ranging from Rockstar Games to the BBC and The Mill, and worked on some of the industry's most high-profile projects including The Golden Compass, 10,000BC, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and Harry Potter: The Order of the Phoenix.
