Empire: Total War knocks Killzone 2 from top of charts

Killzone 2 sales drop 58 per cent from first week

Sega's Empire: Total War has managed to knock Sony's Killzone 2 off the top of the UKs All Formats charts in its first week of release.

Although Killzone 2 sales are down 58 per cent from last week, the Guerilla-developed title is still only 1600 units behind the latest from Total team Creative Assembly.

Empire: Total War is the first PC title to top the All Formats charts since October 2007, according to data from GfK Chart-Track, with sales double that of Rome: Total War's first week.

Wii Fit surged back to number three this week, with sales up 31 per cent, while the only other new entry in the top ten was Tom Clancy's HAWX from Ubisoft, at four.

The All Formats top ten follows:

  • 01 Empire: Total War
  • 02 Killzone 2
  • 03 Wii Fit
  • 04 Tom Clancy's HAWX
  • 05 Halo Wars
  • 06 Professor Layton and the Curious Village
