Eidos declines to comment on Tomb Raider 360 rumours
ESRB site suggests episodic release planned
Eidos has declined to comment on information appearing on the ESRB website which suggests that Tomb Raider Anniversary is coming to Xbox 360.
The site's rating page lists five pieces of TRA content - Croft Manor, Egypt, Greece, Lost City and Peru. This would seem to indicate that the content will be released episodically via Xbox Live.
Tomb Raider Anniversary, a remake of Lara Croft's original adventure, is already out on PC and PS2, with PSP and Wii versions due to follow later this year. It's built on the Tomb Raider: Legend engine which was used for the Xbox 360 version of that game, but Eidos has previously denied that TRA is coming to Microsoft's next-gen console.
Speaking to Gamasutra recently producer Lulu LaMer said, "I guess youâd be surprised at how much more time making a 360 version on par with Legend wouldâve taken. The engine was there, but the content doesnât make itself."
