EA Sports unveils new boxing IP

FaceBreaker due for 360, Wii, PS3 in 2008

Electronic Arts has announced a new boxing title called FaceBreaker, due for release on Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Developed by EA Canada and due this year, the game promises to be less realistic than EA's Fight Night series, offering stylised graphics and arcade action.

"FaceBreaker reinvigorates one of the great genres in sports videogames," said Peter Moore, president of EA Sports.

"Arcade boxing takes me back to my roots in the industry, and this game signals our shift to adding more approachable fun to our product line-up."
