EA signs 300 director for three game deal

Zack Snyder, the director of 300 and the upcoming Watchmen movie, has signed a deal with EA to to develop three original titles, according to Variety.

Under the terms of the deal, EA will own the intellectual properties but if the publisher attempts to turn some or all of them into films then they will be produced by Snyder's Cruel & Unusual Films banner.

"Zack Snyder has a fresh and bold creative style that resonates with our core audience," EA Games' Frank Gibeau said in a statement.

Snyder's deal with EA follows that of Steven Spielberg's, which resulted in the development of Boom Blox, and John Woo's deal to develop the USD 30 million title, Stranglehold, for Midway.
