Drop the Beat

Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

– Dallas-based Blockdot has released “Drop the Beat,” a new game promoting VH1 and the 2008 Hip Hop Honors show, premiering October 6, 10pm Eastern time.

“Drop the Beat,” which is Blockdot’s first game for VH1, challenges players to stay in rhythm with the beat of the song. Click on the highlighted turntables, keyboards, and stereo speakers in tandem with the music and you’ll score points. Miss a beat or click the wrong section and you’ll receive a strike. Pick up three strikes and the game is over!

You can show off your sick mix master skills by playing the game on http://games.vh1.com/online.php?gid=373.

VH1’s annual Hip Hop Honors show celebrates the vision, innovation and groove power of the seminal artists who help make hip hop such a strong cultural force around the world. For more information on the 2008 Hip Hop Honors show, visit http://www.hiphop.vh1.com.
