"Dream Dozen" speakers for Develop 2010

New speakers from Sony, Microsoft, Square Enix and ngmoco confirmed

The fifth annual Develop conference in Brighton has added an extra "dream dozen" of speakers, including representatives from Sony, Microsoft, Square Enix and ngmoco.

Organisers have revealed that Mick Hocking of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will be giving a speech called "3DTV: The next dimension in game graphics", while Andrew Oliver of Blitz Game Studios will host a session entitled "All the right moves: grasping the possibilities of motion controllers".

Alan Yu of mobile publisher ngmoco will discuss the iPhone, as Gabe Zichermann of beamME gives a talk entitled "Yesterday's games designers - tomorrow's social tech innovators".

Richard Bates of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe will illustrate the technical evolution of SingStar from game to service on the PlayStation 3.

Jim Blackhurst and Mike Oldman of Square Enix will discuss opening up player metrics to the community in Just Cause 2. Jasper Koning of Ronimo Games will host a session named "Working with WiiWare: From Student Developers to Swords and Soldiers".

Jerome Hagen from Microsoft will discuss time-honoured practices in usability testing.

There will also be a special panel feature entitled "Forget Dragon's Den: What Venture Capital really means for you", attended by Paul Flanagan of Ariadne Capital, Nic Brisbourne of DFJ Esprit LLP, Sean Seton-Rogers of PROfounders Capital and Carlos Espinal.

Previously announced speakers for the event include BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, Activision’s Adam Levenson, Westwood Studios founder Louis Castle and Lionhead's Peter Molyneux.
