Mobile games publisher Digital Bridges has changed its name to I-play in a relaunch designed to help the firm appeal to a wider market, with two new titles being announced under the new name this morning.

The firm is rebranding all of its operations using the I-play name and logo, and says that it hopes to make the entire mobile gaming experience "easy, fun and accessible for all" in an effort to drive further into the mass market.

Along with the rebranding, the firm has also revealed its two latest mobile games - with Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova signing up to headline a tennis game in plenty of time for this year's tournament, while hugely popular "one-thumb play" title Skipping Stone, from Korean developer Gamevil, is also to be distributed worldwide by I-play.

"Our mission to take mobile gaming mass market will be driven by everything we do," commented I-play CEO Brian Greasley this morning, "including I-play's range of titles - with more casual one-thumb games launching; our consumer marketing and new look web site, www.iplay.com."

Check back later this week for a closer look at I-play's plans for its new brand and the future of mobile gaming, when we interview the company's COO, former Nintendo Europe boss David Gosen.
