Dates announced for BlizzCon 2007

Blizzard to hold event in August

Blizzard has announced plans for the second BlizzCon gaming convention, which will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center between August 3 - 4.

Everyone from age four and up is invited to celebrate the company's biggest and best franchises. A variety of different activities are planned, including costume competitions, sound-alike contests and a concert of music from the Diablo, Warcraft and StarCraft games.

There will also be panel discussions with Blizzard developers, who will sign commemorative memoribilia for sale at the event, tournaments for both the World of Warcraft PC game and trading card game, and a silent auction.

"We were gratified by the response to our first BlizzCon in 2005 and have been looking for an opportunity to hold a follow-up event ever since," stated Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.

"With BlizzCon 2007, we plan to deliver another entertaining and informative experience for the attendees, and we look forward to meeting all of them again this year."

Tickets will go on sale via the BlizzCon website within the next few months, priced at USD 100 per person.
