Codemasters to publish Asobo racer Fuel

Codemasters has signed the worldwide publishing rights to Fuel, the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 racing title from French developer Asobo Studios.

The title is built using Asobo's own engine and promises over 5000 square miles of racing terrain.

"The technology Asobo Studios has developed to build Fuel is ground-breaking," commented Codemasters' senior VP of brands Barry Jafrato.

"Fuel had to be a special title for Codemasters to include in our racing portfolio and we believe that from both a gameplay and a technical perspective, Fuel compliments our long standing tradition of driving excellence."

Codemasters has a strong heritage in racing games, and is the publisher behind the Race Driver and Colin McRae franchises.

Fuel will be shown for the first time at Leipzig Games Convention this week.
