Codemasters extends MMO payment options

Click & Buy partnership designed to encourage new subscribers

Codemasters Online Gaming has announced a new partnership with payment solutions provider Click & Buy which is designed to facilitate the growth of the publisher's MMORPG audience in the US and Europe.

Available in North America and the majority of European countries, the new billing solution negates the need for a credit card in order to access the publisher's MMO titles, providing a range of alternative subscription and payment methods.

Ed Relf, director of marketing for Codemasters Online Gaming, commented: "We have listened to the demands of our customers and delivered this great new payment solution in partnership with Click & Buy."

"This is an extremely positive move especially for those MMO gamers without credit cards eagerly awaiting the launch of our next two hugely anticipated games, ArchLord and The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar," he added.

Codemasters' entrance into the Massively Multiplayer Online Game market was cemented a little under a year ago with the formation of its dedicated online gaming division.

The company has secured North American and European publishing rights to a number of high profile titles, and has openly expressed its ambition to compete directly with the market leader, World of Warcraft.

The Click & Buy payment solutions are now available to all new and existing subscribers of Codemasters Online Gaming services.
