Click and Play launch

New £9.99 range from Avanquest, kicking off with Jewel Quest II and Mah Jong Quest II.

Avanquest Software Publishing, formerly known as GSP and one of the UK's leading consumer software and games publishers, has announced that it is to launch an exciting casual gaming range under the newly created GSP ‘Click and Play’ games brand. At just £9.99 per game Click and Play is focused on making simple, pick-up-and-play gaming accessible for all.

The new titles in the Click and Play range, to include the hugely successful Jewel Quest II and Mah Jong Quest II that are currently listed in the Top 20 and Top 40 PC entertainment chart (budget) respectively, will be targeted at casual gamers of all ages. Other new titles will include 1000 Games Vol.3, JoJo’s Fashion Show and Word Workout.

As a current market leader in the casual gaming sector, Avanquest Software Publishing will also be re-releasing some of its existing games with the same brand identity. Existing titles include Ultimate Solitaire, Rise of Atlantis, Dr. Daisy’s Pet Vet, Hot Dish, and World Poker 2.

Simon Reynolds, European Games Director at Avanquest Software Publishing commented, “The aim of Click and Play is to achieve greater brand cohesion across the titles in our casual gaming range and make the brand synonymous with compelling, compulsive and addictive games. We want the customer to know they are getting a high-quality, family-friendly game that is easy to pick up and play in an instant that doesn’t cost the earth.”

Dave Brass, Managing Director of Avanquest Software Publishing said, “With over fifteen titles already in the new Click and Play range, the intention is to add more titles in the coming months. As an established player in this sector for several years, we know that these titles appeal to a wide age demographic and that the casual games market is growing fast. The new brand, which will be marketed under the GSP label, fits very well with our core abilities in games, education and kids’ PC software and will enable us to maximise the excellent relationships that we have with retailers nationwide.”

Avanquest Software Publishing currently publishes or distributes in the UK a portfolio of titles on behalf of some of the world's best known brands including Disney, SEGA and Dorling Kindersley. It manages all elements of the sales process, including pricing, packaging, warehousing, merchandising, POS and special offers. Strong relationships with traditional, web and specialist retailers including GAME, PC World, WH Smith, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, Zavvi, Morrisons and Tesco have helped to establish consistently strong sales with many titles appearing in the Top 20 PC entertainment charts (budget).
