CD Projekt founders named Young Entrepreneurs of the Year

Pair win Polish award and set to take part in worldwide competition next June

CD Projekt had announced today that its co-founders, Michal Kicinski and Marcin Iwinski, were named Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year and will represent Poland in the world's final competition in Monte Carlo next June.

The international scheme features more than 10,000 candidates each year. This year's Polish award, gifted by a jury supervised by former Polish prime minister, Jan Bielecki, judged the candidates on their resourcefulness, innovativeness, good management and the measure of worldwide success achieved by the company.

Michal Kicinski and Marcin Iwinski were awarded for CD Projekt's success at becoming the largest games distributor in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, and for the success of its first in-house title, The Witcher.

"My colleagues from CD Projekt are not only managing a good company but also focus on innovativeness," said Bielecki. "This is how they fight the monster of recession."
