Capcom promotes Beaumont to COO

Capcom has announced the promotion of Mark Beaumont to Chief Operating Officer of Capcom Entertainment in North America and Capcom Entertainment Europe.

Beaumont most recently served as executive VP, officer, and head of the consumer software publishing business in North and South America and Europe.

"Since joining Capcom in 2005, Mark has been the driving force behind the company's improved performance, resulting in an overall revenue growth of 10 per cent in the US and 20 per cent in Europe," said Hiroshi Tobisawa, Capcom's president and CEO.

The promotion was effective as of April 1.

Beaumont has over 25 years of videogame industry experience and will remain on Capcom's board of directors.
