British Inspiration Awards finalists revealed

Industry veterans Livingstone, Houser and the Darlings are nominated

Ian Livingstone, Sam Houser and David and Richard Darling have been chosen as British Inspiration Award finalists in the category of Interactive Entertainment.

The new awards aim to recognise individuals, companies or groups that have contributed exceptionally to the creative economy of Great Britain.

Winners will be presented their awards at a ceremony to be held in London on April 23, and 100 per cent of the proceeds raised from it will be distributed to UK charities.

The event's executive committee has been led by David Yarnton, UK MD of Nintendo. He said today: "The quality of our nation's artistic deeds are expressed profoundly through this list of finalists. We're privileged to be in a position to honour such consistent standard bearers for the great British creative sector."

"We also want to stand up and show support for many organisations and charities that deserve more help and support. As a sector this makes us very proud indeed."

The main charity beneficiaries of the event will be The Dallaglio Foundation and Games Aid.
