Black Rock confirms platform parity for Pure
Black Rock Studio's game director, Jason Avent, has stated that there is currently no difference between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of its upcoming title Pure.
Speaking to Eurogamer.net Avent explained how close ties with Sony had enabled Black Rock's quad bike arcade racer to runs just as well on both platforms.
"It's the same; exactly the same," Avent insisted. "I'd say around January time we had all the functionality in the PS3 version that we had in the 360."
Black Rock, according to Avent, has had access to a PS3 SDK for a long time, thanks to the relationship the developer formed with Sony making ATV vs Offroad Fury 3 and 4 - before the studio was bought by Disney Interactive and known as Climax Racing.
"Now we've got them both running and 30 frames per second is our target. It does dip down, but we've got months to optimise it. We do side-by-side comparisons just like you guys do," Avent added.
