Austin GDC names Jason Page as audio keynote speaker

The Austin Game Developers Conference has announced that Jason Page, the audio manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, will be the keynote speaker for the audio track, at the event takng place September 15-17 in the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

Page will deliver a speech titled "Is That It? Next Gen Audio", where he will explain how an informed perspective will help developers realise the importance of game audio, and innovative ways for audio specialists to produce cutting edge tracks and sound effects for games.

"We are very excited to welcome Jason Page to this year's Austin GDC," said conference director, Izora de Lillard.

"The audio track's theme 'Breaking Out of the Loop' resonates with this year's overall message of bringing forth progressive and out-of-the box ideas to allow our attendees to level up their skills and 'Evolve to Win' in the industry."
