Audiokinetic/Emergent deal

Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

Montreal, Canada – May 1, 2008 – Audiokinetic Inc., a leading audio solution provider for the video game industry, announced today that its award-winning audio pipeline solution, Wwise, will be bundled with Emergent Game Technologies’ Gamebryo for a limited time. Hence, Wwise will be offered to Gamebryo customers for free until June 30th, 2008.

A few months ago, Audiokinetic joined the Emergent Premier Partners program that induced a very strong collaborative business relationship. The two technology providers have decided to take this partnership a step further by bundling Wwise and Gamebryo into a single product offering, for a limited time.

“The relationship between Audiokinetic and Emergent represents two forward thinking companies who are working together to make game development easier to empower innovation in our industry,” said Scott Johnson, President, Emergent Game Technologies. “Bundling our products and providing our customer base with Wwise demonstrates the sole purpose of our partner program, integrating numerous solutions together and making them more accessible to the development community.”

The details of the promotion were announced today:

• Customers who buy Gamebryo will receive Wwise automatically and for free;

• Existing Gamebryo customers who have an active and valid support contract will qualify to use Wwise for the development of their game, for free.

The promotion is effective immediately and will run until June 30th, 2008.

Some conditions may apply – Audiokinetic and Emergent should be contacted for details.

“Emergent is a very reliable and efficient commercial partner that shares our customer centric values,” commented André Nadeau, President and CEO, Audiokinetic. “By bundling Wwise with Gamebryo, we take yet another step towards our goal: to set Wwise as the obvious audio solution for game development.”
