Arnie: I'll be back

Arnold Schwarzenegger has stated that he plans to appeal following a judge's decision to rule his law, which would prohibit the sale of violent video games to minors in California, illegal.

Judge Ronald Whyte decided that the law was unconstitutional, stating in his ruling that "to withstand constitutional scrutiny, any regulation must be narrowly drawn to serve that interest without unnecessarily interfering with First Amendment freedoms."

But according to a press release, California governor Schwarzenegger is to appeal the ruling. He said, "Many of these games are made for adults, and choosing games that are appropriate for kids should be a decision made by their parents."

"I will vigorously defend this law and appeal it to the next level."

The appeal will be made to the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, but no time scale for this has yet been announced.
