ArchLord exceeds half a million players

Codemasters has announced that its MMO ArchLord has exceeded 500,000 players in the west.

ArchLord's recent success has been attributed to a move from a subscription-based service to a free-to-play MMORPG. Codemasters has said they will shortly be creating a new game world to cope with the increased demand.

"This is a key milestone in the growth of ArchLord," said Ed Relf, director of marketing for Codemasters Online.

"ArchLord is a premier free-to-play MMORPG offering significantly more depth and quality than most other free-to-play games and this recent achievement solidifies our commitment to the ongoing development and success of ArchLord."
