America's Army Tournaments Featured at Summer 2007 Cyberathlete Professional League Championships

U.S. Army to Sponsor CPL Summer Event

West Point, NY (August 16, 2007) - The U.S. Army announced today that it is a primary sponsor of the upcoming Summer 2007 CPL ® Championships which will feature an America's Army tournament. The America's Army "bring your own computer" competition features $10,000 in cash prizes for the winners.

In addition to participating in the America's Army $10,000 tournament, gamers can compete in other competitions on America's Army PC game stations and America's Army: Rise of a Soldier Xbox game stations during the four-day event. Players will also be able to get their hands on the America's Army Future Soldier Trainer. This leading-edge simulation technology allows users to feel the recoil as they use realistic weapons armed with lasers in scenarios that range from single player training experiences to multiplayer missions adapted from the America's Army PC game.

The America's Army competitions are being held as part of the Summer 2007 CPL® Championships, which will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The Summer Championships offers professional and amateur gamers from all over the world a chance to compete for a total of $100,000 in cash and prizes. About America's Army Launched on July 4th 2002, America's Army is an innovative PC action game that provides young adults with an inside perspective and a virtual role in today's high-tech Army.
