Activision unveils new Wee 1ST brand

Dedicated Wii publishing label established with first titles due this autumn

Activision has established a new brand dedicated to Nintendo's Wii.

Labelled Wee 1ST, the first titles released under the new brand will be Little League World Series 2008, Rapala Fishing Frenzy and Dancing with the Stars: Get Your Dance On.

"The Wii is introducing new audiences to gaming," commented Dave Oxford of Activision Publishing.

"Clearly, the Wii's accessible controls are changing how the audience plays games and how we look at game design. This initiative is designed to showcase games that take full advantage of the Wii's capabilities."

Activision isn't the only publisher to focus specificially on the Wii market. Last month, EA unveiled the All Play brand grouping a number of sports titles together for the Nintendo home console.
