Activision appoints new Euro boss

Joerg Trouvain joins as senior VP of publishing

Activision has appointed a new senior vice president of European publishing, with ex-EA exec Joerg Trouvain taking the role previously held by Tricia Bertero, who now returns to the US.

Trouvain was previously the vice president of EA Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and has also held sales positions at BASF and GN NETCOM.

"We are delighted to welcome a seasoned industry professional of Joerg's calibre to Activision," commented Brain Hodous, chief customer officer at the publisher.

"His extensive experience in driving the growth of organisations will be a tremendous asset as we take advantage of the market opportunities afforded by the new console platforms, and Activision's exceptional FY08 slate, to continue building our leadership position in Europe," he said.
