77 Currys.digital stores set to close

The electronics retailer group, DSG international, has revealed it plans to close 77 of its Currys.digital stores.

Curry's parent company released its business review containing a five point plan to cut GBP 50 million in expenses. Part of the plan included the announcement to close 77 of the 177 Currys.digital stores as their leases expire.

"We have developed radical and detailed plans that will transform the very DNA of our business over the next three years," commented John Browett, chief executive of DSG.

"There is much to do to improve and simplify the business which will improve the customer offer, make us a better place to work and deliver value for our shareholders."
