7 Studios listed among fastest-growing US companies

LA-based studio credits developing for Nintendo platforms for its inclusion on the in Inc5000 list

7 Studios has announced that it has been included on the Inc5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the US, for the second consecutive year.

The LA-based independent studio is the only videogame developer to earn itself a place on the list. To be up for consideration for inclusion on the list, a company must be US-based, privately held and have had at least USD 200,000 in revenue in 2004, and USD 2 million in 2007.

"The impressive continued growth of 7 Studios is a credit to our talented staff and an early strategic focus on Nintendo's Wii system," said 7 Studios CEO Lewis Peterson. "7 Studios' decision to support the Wii has paid off as demand for content and experienced developers is at an all-time high."

7 Studios is the developer behind the multi-platform titles Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfter, The Sopranos for the PlayStation 2 and Napoleon Dynamite for the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS. The studio's latest game, Fun Park, will be released on for the DS and Wii this October.
