GamesIndustry.biz promotes Brendan Sinclair to North American editor

Sinclair will lead the site's editorial coverage in the US and Canada following the departure of James Brightman

Brendan Sinclair will take over as the North American editor of GamesIndustry.biz, leading the site's editorial coverage of the US and Canadian industries.

Sinclair joined GamesIndustry.biz in 2012, having previously held the role of senior news editor for Gamespot. Over the last five years he worked closely with the previous North American editor, James Brightman, growing the website's presence in the region and reporting on all aspects of the industry.

With Brightman stepping down, Sinclair will now lead GamesIndustry.biz's coverage of the industries in the US and Canada, as well as working on several new projects. He will work alongside the UK editor James Batchelor and report to the editor-in-chief Matthew Handrahan.

"I'm grateful and excited to take on this new role as we redouble our efforts to cover the North American market and development scene from all angles," Sinclair said. "We're already planning to bring the GamesIndustry.biz 100 and Best Places to Work concepts here, but these are just the beginnings of what we hope to accomplish."
