Fumito Ueda to keynote Nordic Game Conference 2017

Malmo event welcomes legendary designer

Legendary developer Fumito Ueda will be a keynote speaker at this year's Nordic Game Conference in Malmo, Sweden, it has been announced.

Ueda, who was the creative drive behind PlayStation classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, also developed PS4 hit The Last Guardian, which released at the end of 2016. He will be joined on stage by local hero David Polfeldt, CEO of Massive Entertainment, on Thursday May 18th, to discuss his career and the future he sees for game development.

In addition, Ueda will sit on the panel of judges who are deciding the final winners of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest on Friday, 19 May, giving lucky finalists an incredible chance to pitch their game to one of the industry's great geniuses.

GamesIndustry.biz is a close partner for this year's event, running our very own speaker track across all three days of the conference and supporting the Discovery Contest by offering the winner a free exhibitor spot at EGX in September. If you're interested in submitting a talk for consideration as a part of the track, email dan.pearson@gamesindustry.biz with your pitch.

Tickets for the event are available now.

As a media partner, GamesIndustry.biz will be attending and reporting from the show at the organiser's expense.
