New creative director for Dovetail Games

Stephen Hood joins Train Simulator developer, along with Nick Rooke

Stephen Hood, previously creative director for Codemasters' Formula One series of racing games, has joined Dovetail Games to head up the studio's internally produced flight simulator.

Hood, who has also held roles at Sony Computer Entertainment, Lionhead Studios and Psygnosis, will eventually take up the wider role of creative director for the studio.

"I'm delighted that Stephen is joining the Dovetail Games family," said Dovetail's VP of development Rob O'Farrell. "As well as having extensive creative knowledge and experience, he brings a unique passion for creating high quality simulation entertainment which will be an invaluable addition to our team."

"I'm incredibly proud to have helped Codemasters put Formula One games back on the map," added Hood. "But the time was right to accept a new opportunity with the talented team at Dovetail Games. I cannot wait to play a part in their future success."

Hood is joined at Dovetail by another new hire, Nick Rooke. Rooke will take up the role of head of third party business at the studio, having previously held role at both Microsoft and SCE.
