Wow, big week for Vita with the Vita TV and God Eater 2 at the same time. Good for it, outselling the 3DS for the first time.

Yeah, it's important to note that the combined sales of the two Vita models beat the two 3DS models, resulting in an overall Sony win, despite the 3DS XL taking the top spot in the chart.

I am curious how many TV-Vita buyers already have a Vita handheld at home, I think this number would tell a lot about the future of the device.

@Christian

I actually doubt there will be much overlap this time, while a lot of buyers of PSVita also owns a PS3, I doubt Vita TV buyers are existing owners of Vita, some of the most beautiful Vita games are not supported on Vita TV, notably Killzone Mercenary, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, LBP PSVita.

Existing Vita owners will love to see these beautiful games on the big screen, with Vita TV not supporting them, there is very little reason to double dip. IMHO.

@ Tenchi Sorry, you're correct. It outsold the 3DS by 2,000 units one week in May. This is the second week ever (even counting the launch week, in which it lost to 3DS), that the Vita has outsold the 3DS.
