Epic's Gamble to lecture at Staffordshire University

Will speak about "how to succeed in what is a fast-changing and ultra-competitive environment"

Staffordshire University has signed up Epic Games European territory manager Mike Gamble as a visiting professor, giving its students the chance to hear him lecture on games design.

"I am really thrilled at being honoured as a visiting professor at Staffordshire given the quality of their courses and the students who graduate from them," he said.

"I am particularly looking forward to sharing my industry and Epic Games experience to help build the students' knowledge, and prepare them for what to expect and how to succeed in what is a fast-changing and ultra-competitive environment."

Gamble has plenty of experience to share with the students. He joined Epic Games in February 2011, but prior to that he's also worked with Crytek, Microsoft, THQ and even the Ministry of Defence.

"It is great for us to be working alongside someone with such a wealth of experience," said Staffordshire University's lecturer in Games Design, James Butcher.

"Mike's skills and knowledge will be invaluable in enriching the experience of Staffordshire University games students and graduates. It has been a great pleasure to lead the link between the university and Epic, and with our continued use of the industry-leading Unreal Engine technology, it is a great fit for our awards and students."

Haha, have to laugh at my reading of the title. Had me wondering what their "gamble" was! Well done and good luck!

I'm pretty sure that that was done deliberately!
