Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros. enters UK chart at 2

This week's UK number 1 is still The Last Of Us, making it five weeks on the top for Naughty Dog's fungal adventure. If it can last six weeks it will match Call Of Duty: Black Ops II and FIFA 12.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros. was the only new entry in the top 20 this week, at number 2, but expansion pack Civilization V: Brave New World entered at 39.

Wonderful testament to the top class production values that Naughty Dog aspire towards, and customers are responding.
I hope to see The Last of Us win the Game of the Year award.

The Last of Us the the answer to anyone claiming AAA game's crisis. You don't need to make a tenth rip-off of a sixth sequel, with macho characters and huge set-pieces.
You simply need to make a great game, with characters, story and soul. And voila... it sells. And it sells a lot. Now, could you people please start ripping off The Last of Us, instead of COD?

Thank you!

Well deserved. It's a fantastic game and another 5 weeks at the top wouldn't be too long.

And this being a one-system exclusive. Well deserved I say.

ARgh!! Now we'll have a whole slew of cover-based semi-steath combat games set in post apocalyptic zombie scenarios!!!

I am glad, and amazed at how well this game is doing. Note that I pre-ordered as well and I do know exactly why is doing so well. It goes to show, great games can sell really really good.

@ James: I actually don't mind a slew of semi-stealth cover based combat games in zombie scenarios, as long as they have deep characters and story worth telling.
But I see your point. Some thing are a bit easier to rip-off than others ;-) I would be even OK with publishers ripping off just the basic aspect of The Last of Us - and that's that Naughty Dog tried something new. They went the "Christoper Nolan way", instead of Michael Bay.
