The house that Mario built has a stake in photography horror

Horror news site Rely On Horror is reporting that Nintendo now co-owns the Fatal Frame/Project Zero IP, in addition to having full ownership of the Spirit Camera spin-off. Nintendo recently added a number copyrights related to the franchise to its stable, and it has the sole publishing rights for the Wii remake of Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly/Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly.

The Spirit Camera spin-off was released this year for Nintendo 3DS. The series would definitely work well on Nintendo's Wii U, using the Wii U GamePad as the franchise's ever-present camera. Fatal Frame V perhaps?

Hmmm. I figured this was coming, but I wish it would have come sooner, as there's already a Wii Project Zero game that was release a few years back. Granted, it wasn't perfect and the chances of it coming over is Zero (ha ha) unless it's a Wii U remake (which would be a great thing). Still, it's too bad this means no Vita Fatal Frame or chance of a optional PS Move or Kinect enabled FF game in the future...

Why dealing with a so weak franchise? I don't get it... I has been pretty popular back in the PS2 days, but nowadays no one cares about this franchise :?

I thought they took over the rights to the FF franchise years ago.

I think they have a plan, cause this game would defenitly work on the Wii U, even better than current consoles, because of the second screen.
