Star Wars 1313 coming from LucasArts

New Star Wars title to bring bounty hunter perspective to gamers at E3

LucasArts' rumored Star Wars 1313 project has been unveiled, confirming that the studio is working on a new 'darker' title for the Star Wars universe. Gamers will have a chance at E3 to see for the first time an all new franchise that specifically focuses on bounty hunters. Star Wars 1313 is aiming to be a more mature, grittier take on a universe more popularly known for the fight of good vs. evil, red vs. green.

"We're excited to share one of the projects LucasArts has been hard at work developing," said Paul Meegan, president, LucasArts. "Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we've always known existed, but never had a chance to visit. We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself."

The title, Star Wars 1313, is specifically culled from the universe bible. Level 1313 of Coruscant is known for being a criminal haven on the never-ending city that is the seat of government for the universe. Gamers will be using a wide variety of weapons and tools to accomplish their goals, rather than relying on the popular Force powers seen throughout other titles.

More information will be offered at E3 next week.
